Prep that does not coach you into a lie

An interview package is worthless if it puts words in your mouth you cannot defend. This one draws only on what is in your tailored resume. It will not suggest claiming a credential you do not hold, inflating a title, or implying experience you do not have — because the moment an interviewer follows up, that answer collapses and takes your credibility with it.

Handling a gap honestly is the stronger answer anyway. Name it, show the closest real experience you have, and say what you would do to close it. That is what an experienced interviewer is listening for, and it is the one response a candidate who is bluffing cannot give.

Sample — addressing a gap. Azure platform experience. This is the most concrete gap and the interviewer will almost certainly name it. Own it directly: your cloud depth is AWS, not Azure. The honest counterweight is that cloud platforms share the same underlying concepts — identity, serverless compute, API gateways, managed Kubernetes — and you have worked those patterns hands-on, not theoretically. To close the platform gap, you would work toward the AZ-204 certification, starting with Microsoft’s official Azure Fundamentals learning path.

Common questions

How is this different from a list of common interview questions?

A generic list cannot know that your last role was a contract, that your cloud experience is on the wrong platform for this posting, or that your strongest project is one you built on your own. Does it write my answers for me?

It gives you the angle, the evidence to use, and in places wording close enough to say out loud. The words should still be yours. An answer you can defend under follow-up is worth more than a polished one you cannot.

What if the job posting has no salary range?

Then the compensation section is left out. Estimating a number from nothing would be a guess presented as advice, and walking into a negotiation with a guess is worse than walking in without one.
